Sint Maarten Events Calendar: What Yacht Planners Should Build Around

Some events belong in the guest itinerary; others matter because they change roads, tables and availability. Use only dates published by the current organiser, and recheck the programme as the call approaches.

Confirmed dates for the working calendar
Festival de la Gastronomie de Saint-Martin is scheduled for 11–22 November 2026, with workshops, tastings, participating restaurants and public culinary events. Confirm ticketing, language, capacity and transport for each event.
The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is scheduled for 4–7 March 2027. The organiser places the event on the first weekend of March and publishes race and evening schedules separately. Decide whether guests want race viewing, the Regatta Village or distance from the busiest periods.
SXM Festival is scheduled for 17–21 March 2027 across multiple venues and needs the correct tickets, identification and late transport. Treat every artist, venue and start time as provisional until the current programme confirms it.
Recurring events waiting for the next programme
St. Martin Day remains 11 November, while its ceremonies and routes change. French-side Carnival normally falls around February. Dutch-side Carnival generally runs through April and into May. Their organisers, locations and road plans are separate.
St. Maarten Flavors changed format in 2026, and Les Mardis de Grand Case had a published 2026 season followed by a suspension notice. Neither should be built into a future itinerary without fresh confirmation.
What an event changes
An event may improve the guest programme and complicate access around it. Check road closures, crowd controls, parking, driver collection, restaurant pressure, age limits, noise, standing time, dress and ticket type.
Guests who do not attend may still feel the event through traffic and reduced availability. Berth plans, bridge movements, tender instructions and crew coverage remain with the captain and relevant authorities.
Use three planning passes
When the itinerary is drafted, decide whether the event is an attraction or constraint. When the programme opens, buy through approved channels, reserve transport and place dining around the schedule.
Before the call, check again 14 days before, 72 hours before and on the day. Confirm status, timing, entry, roads, pickup and return. A saved announcement is not an operating plan.

Which 2027 events already have dates?
The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is listed for 4–7 March 2027. SXM Festival is listed for 17–21 March 2027.
Are Dutch-side and French-side Carnival the same event?
No. They have different organisers, dates, locations and road arrangements. Each programme must be checked separately.
Can Sea Grapes arrange tickets and transport?

Are Les Mardis de Grand Case confirmed for next season?
No future season should be treated as confirmed until the organiser and Collectivité publish compatible current information.
